Coral Poncho Handwoven in Chiapas

Perfect for spring and fall, transitional through summer. This open-sided coral color poncho is woven on a backstrap loom in the small village of Magdalena Aldama, Chiapas in the highlands above San Cristobal de las Casas by one our favorite cooperatives led by our friend Rosa. The fringes are hand-twisted. The design in the cloth is achieved using the supplementary weft technique and is naturally dyed wool.  It is not embroidered. Machine wash gentle. Hang to dry. Measures 38” wide x 62” long including hand twisted fringes.
