Alderwood Dyed Shawl, Cozy Cotton, Long and Wide

From the studio of Artefer in Santa Maria Tlahuitoltepec in the Mixe region of Oaxaca, about 2-1/2 from Oaxaca City, comes this amazing alderwood dyed shawl with intricate macrame hand-knotted fringe. The color is a rich golden interspersed with tones of mahogany. The studio has won many awards and is featured at artisan shows throughout Mexico, and shown at the Museo Textil de Oaxaca. We know the weaver personally and the workmanship is outstanding. Woven on the flying shuttle pedal loom. It measures 26″ wide x 100″ long.  This is long enough to wrap around your shoulders twice for ultimate coziness!
