Sunset All Natural Wool Rug

Size 2´ x 3´ — woven by Eric Chavez Santiago in his Teotitlan del Valle, Oaxaca, weaving and design studio. This rug is 100% churro sheep un-dyed natural wool, hand-spun on the drop spindle by women in Chichicapan in the Oaxaca highlands where the fleece is rich and thick. Eric learned to weave from his mother and father, starting at age 8 years old. His aesthetic focuses on color and graphic elements that are inspired by the symbolism in ancient archeological sites.
